Meet our Alums

Christina Johnson| Lab Manager
Christina Johnson served as Lab Manager and Research Support Coordinator in Dr. Endriss' lab in 2025, supporting ecological research through lab organization, inventory management, and coordination of undergraduate research assistants.

Taylor Mattioli | Master's Student
Taylor lead a Marsh Organ experiment with our lab and the CES Lab that studies the effects of salinity, sea level rise, and management techniques on Phragmites australis in coastal North Carolina.

Sarah Branagan| PhD Student
She was a dual degree Masters student working with Dr. Endriss and Dr. Rachael Urbanek at UNCW on a project investigating the current occupancy and distribution of Wayne's black-throated green warblers (Dendroica virens waynei)

Erin Hassett| Research Support
Erin Hassett served as lab manager research support from September 2025 to May 2026. During her time, she helped the lab members with their projects and conducted a literature review on marsh organ methodology.

Mikayla Reynolds | Lab Manager
She managed Dr. Endriss’ lab and was also identifying resources for lab managers to help lab members be safe and feel included in the lab and in the field.

Lyda McCarthy | Research Support
Lyda worked to determine land management priorities within the state of North Carolina.
